The CERA from the SOA is the most comprehensive and rigorous risk management credential available, with a well-rounded curriculum that includes:

  • Exam P (Probability)
  • Exam FM (Financial Mathematics)
  • Validation by Educational Experience (VEE) Economics and Corporate Finance
  • Exam MFE (Models for Financial Economics)
  • Exam C (Construction and Evaluation of Actuarial Models)
  • Fundamentals of Actuarial Practice Course
  • Enterprise Risk Management Exam
  • Enterprise Risk Management Module
  • Associateship Professionalism Course

Candidates who successfully complete the CERA curriculum will receive the CERA credential and may apply to become an Associate of the Society of Actuaries.
